Dr. Shannon Munsie is a Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. She has extensive experience in treating patients with significant medical issues, those with a history of Cleft of lip and palate, as well as those with special needs, such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Munsie has worked as staff dentist at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa, and has lectured on many topics to help other dentists improve their understanding and abilities in providing quality care to their pediatric patients and their families.
Dr. Munsie obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario, following which she completed a hospital residency program at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. She went on to complete her specialty training as well as a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Shannon was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and is happy to be back home to offer her compassionate care in her hometown and with the practice that she a patient at as a child – She used to be a patient at PDG! She likes playing volleyball, running, skiing, and practicing yoga. She is also learning to speak French and loves to practice!
