Dr. Scheideman received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia followed by a yearlong General Practitioner Residency from the University of Alberta where he received advanced training in Oral Surgery, Implants, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics.
Dr. Scheideman realized his ambitions resided within Pediatric Dentistry and subsequently completed a specialty program in Pediatric Dentistry at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Throughout his residency he received extensive clinical training in behaviour management, emergency treatment, working with special needs patients, oral sedations, and full mouth oral rehabilitations.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Scheideman is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry for both the Undergraduate Dental and Graduate Pediatric Dental program, where he is able to share and pass on his passion for children’s oral health care. He has also volunteered on medical/dental mission trips to Cambodia and Guatemala. During his leisure time, Dr. Scheideman, enjoys hiking, playing hockey, and snowboarding.
Dr Scheideman looks forward to providing quality dental care and dental education to children and teenagers that will leave them with a life-long foundation for exceptional oral health.
