Dr. Anabel Chan graduated from the University of Toronto with Honours in Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1990. After graduation, a residency at the renowned Hospital for Sick Children (HSC) inspired her to pursue a lifelong career in treating healthy and medically-compromised children in clinical and hospital settings. She completed her Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Science at the University of Toronto while being a staff dentist at HSC.

In 1995, she moved to Vancouver to join the Pediatric Dental Group. Dr. Chan was a Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia, teaching dental students clinical skills in treating children.

She was on staff at BC Children’s Hospital for over 20 years and was the past president of the BC Society of Pediatric Dentists. Now, she focuses on her clinical practices in Vancouver and Richmond and performs dental surgeries at two private facilities- Cambie Surgical Centre and Anesthesia for Dentistry. She speaks occasionally to study clubs and has several articles published in peer-reviewed journals.

Married with two daughters, Dr. Chan enjoys skiing and traveling with her family. Born in Hong Kong, she is fluent in Cantonese and speaks some Mandarin.
